This past weekend I had a great time photographing the Minnesota wedding of Amy and Lizz at the Minnesota Transportation Museum’s Jackson Street Roundhouse in St. Paul. What a great couple and super fun wedding venue! Amy and Lizz, who were officially married earlier this year in Maine — before Minnesota passed its marriage equality law — wanted to share their commitment to each other with their Minnesota friends and family. The couple shared their vows with each other during a short ceremony before treating guests to caboose rides, food truck tacos, amazing ice cream and live polka music!
Since quitting my job as a photojournalist, the one story I really wish I had been able to cover was the passage of the marriage equality law. I’m glad to have the chance now as a wedding photographer to experience the joy the passage of this law has brought first hand. Thank you Amy and Lizz!
